Assistance for Local Businesses

LOCAL BUSINESSES, YOUR INPUT IS NEEDED: The Calvert County Departments of Economic Development and Emergency Management are currently working together to determine the amount of damage our county suffered during Hurricane Isaias for reporting to the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA). If your business suffered any structural damage, loss of revenue or inventory, or any other losses due to this event, please email info@ecalvert.com or call the Department of Economic Development at 410-535-4583 so your losses can be documented and staff can provide assistance. Please respond to this request by noon on Friday, Aug. 7; reporting is due to the state by Monday.

CARES Act Grant Funding:  As a reminder the application portal reopens today,  August. 5, at noon, to receive a second round of applications for businesses and nonprofits who wish to apply for CARES Act grant funding. Information and a link is available here: https://www.calvertcountymd.gov/COVID19ReliefFund. Any business owner who received funding in Round 1 is not eligible to reapply in this round; however, those denied in Round 1 because of inability to demonstrate sufficient losses or expenses due to COVID should review our more relaxed criteria for this round to determine eligibility. We are also offering a Zoom webinar tomorrow (rescheduled from yesterday) for those who need assistance or have questions. This webinar will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, at noon: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82761028023
