December 16, 2022 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)-Recognizing the Town of Chesapeake Beach as the Brightest Beacon on the Bay, the Mayor and Town Council awarded the Barbara "Jo" Finch Brightest Beacon on the Bay awards to several town residents at the December 15th Town Council meeting. 

This year the Town of Chesapeake Beach expanded citizens ability to vote for their favorite submissions by coordinating a Holiday Lights Tour, that featured Buddy and Elle.  Guests were guided through an entertaining tour of the lighting displays and received an up close view of the Brightest Beacon on the Bay entries voting for their favorites during the tour. If you missed the tour, don't worry, the Town looks forward to continued partnership with the Friends of the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum in coming years in support of the tour.
