Town Announces Re-opening Plans

June 18, 2021 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)- The Town of Chesapeake Beach announces re-opening plans for public access to Town buildings.

Beginning July 1, 2021, the Town plans to enter Phase 1 of our re-opening plan by providing in person access to Town operations. Town Hall will be open to members of the public during normal operating hours starting on July 1, 2021. Masks will be required of all members of the public who enter Town Hall in Phase 1. Effective July 15, 2021, the Town will begin hybrid Town meetings allowing appointed and elected officials to conduct Town meetings in person at Town Hall, with distancing requirements in place. Members of the public will continue to access Town meetings virtually during Phase 1.

The Town expects to enter Phase 2 of the re-opening plan on September 1, 2021, which includes in person public access to Town meetings, with distancing measures expected to continue. The Town will continue to monitor Health Department statistics and measures and adjust the plan accordingly as we progress through any new developments or updated guidance.
