Councilman Keith Pardieck

Councilman Pardieck

I am honored and humbled to have been elected by the citizens of Chesapeake Beach to Town Council, and look forward to serving our community to the best of my ability over the next four years. I have enjoyed living in Chesapeake Beach since 2003 while raising my two children, and I relish the opportunity to not only help preserve our small-town, family-friendly atmosphere but to improve upon it whenever possible so that individuals, families and small businesses can continue to thrive here. Together we will make smart decisions to protect our small-town community atmosphere, maintain a safe environment, and ensure transparent, effective government. Educated at Indiana University in Biology (B.S.) and Environmental Science (M.S.), I have a strong interest in partnering to achieve science, conservation and community goals. I have pursued these interests both professionally, as a federal wildlife biologist, and individually, through community service, for over twenty years. I began my professional career working towards the recovery of the endangered Puerto Rican Parrot, and currently coordinate a national biological monitoring program. While more locally, and as a volunteer, I designed the Chesapeake Beach Oyster Cultivation Society (CBOCS) in 2010 and led the implementation team, serving as CBOCS Chairman through 2013. I have also served on the Chesapeake Beach Green Team (2011-2014), Chesapeake Beach Planning and Zoning Commission (2014-2016), and Chesapeake Station Homeowners Association Board of Directors (2010-2017; President - 4 years). Please do not hesitate to contact me with your questions, concerns or ideas for town improvements.
