Recycling & Trash Services

Municipal Trash Services:

The Town of Chesapeake Beach provides trash removal services to Town residents. This service is paid for through the local real estate tax that is received by the Town of Chesapeake Beach. There are no additional fees to residents to participate; however, residents must adhere to the requirements for collection. Services are contracted through Evergreen Disposal Services

The Town of Chesapeake Beach Code requires that all trash storage receptacles shall be made of durable material and shall be watertight with tight fitting covers to control odor and prevent animal access. No garbage, trash or debris shall be placed out for collection except in proper receptacles. Remember -- all trash has to be at the curb in containers with lids. The trash company cannot come on private property to retrieve your trash.

Recycle Bins:

The Town of Chesapeake Beach provides recycling containers to residents. One container is provided to each residence, charges apply for additional containers. If you would like a recycle bin and you reside within the corporate limits of Chesapeake Beach click here and we will have one delivered to your homeYou may also call Town Hall at (410) 257-2230 to schedule the delivery of your recycle bin. This delivery takes place through the Town's Department of Public Works and not through the Town contractor. Please be patient as we are putting in a new order for more (hopefully bigger) recycle bins soon. Recycle bins are delivered on Wednesdays and we will return to this as soon as we have more to give out. Thank you for your understanding and your patience!
