A Walkable Community

connecting Chesapeake Beach

The Town of Chesapeake Beach believes that by enhancing walkability within Chesapeake Beach, we will add both intrinsic and economic value to our town.  Our mission is to seek public feedback and promote projects that residents will value and that connect everyone to businesses, parks, and water amenities by creating safe, beautifully landscaped and hardscaped byways that encourage pedestrian and non-vehicular travel throughout town.

The Town is focused on resident engagement to improve the walkability of the Town. To facilitate the engagement process the Town's Walkable Community Advisory Group is a public committee of Town residents with a passion for safe pedestrian access. The group engages residents to create a list of priorities to, build upon and, improve the walkability of the Town. A key result of this engagement is the Town's Master Walkable Community Plan.
