Public Safety Announcement- CLIFF DANGERS

Alfred Jeffrey, Deputy Director of Public Safety for Calvert County, provided a public safety announcement during the February 20, 2020 Town Council meeting regarding the dangers of the cliffs near Bayfront Park.
What you need to know:
- Passing the Town's "No ACCESS" signs is considered a violation of Town ordinance, is citable as a municipal infraction and as Trespassing.
- Entering the cliff area poses immediate danger of bodily harm and loss of life.
- Even a small amount of debri falling onto a person can be fatal due to impact injuries.
- Collapse happens suddenly and without warning.
- Cliffs south of Bayfront Park have collapsed in the past killing a child; without warning.
