Easter - Eggstravaganza

March 25, 2024 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)—Thanks to our community partners at Bayside Baptist Church, the rain did not stop the Easter Bunny from hopping into the Town of Chesapeake Beach on Saturday!

Thank you to Pastor Swanson and the amazing Bayside Baptist team for hosting the Town's Easter - Eggstravaganza indoors during wet weather. Many thanks to the Mayor and Town Council for allocating the funding necessary to hold this community event and to our Town of Chesapeake Beach staff - Martha Kennedy, Savannah Richardson, and our recreational staff members who continued the work to make the event happen despite the rain!

Activities included Easter Egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny, a 360-degree photo booth, wooden egg coloring projects, bunny bowling, and gymnastics. A lucky winner took home the biggest peep we have ever seen compliments of the Town of Chesapeake Beach and many guests brought home seeds for planting compliments of the Chesapeake Beach Green Team. There were also visits with the North Beach Volunteer Fire Department staff, local businesses, and our community partners.
