"If I Were Mayor, I Would ....."

May 7, 2022 (Chesapeake Beach, MD) - The Town of Chesapeake Beach congratulates Beach Elementary School students Remy Nolan and Lauren Kingsbury for placing as semi-finalists representing District 4 in the, "If I were Mayor, I would be...." essay contest. Since 2001, Maryland Municipal Leagues (MML) “If I were Mayor, I would...” essay contest has challenged students to learn about municipal government by creatively sharing their thoughts on being a mayor. District 4- includes Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles & St. Marys Counties with over 2,200 essays submitted. Being a semifinalist is a great honor! 

Join us in honoring Remy Nolan, Lauren Kingsbury, their teacher Ms. Wealer, Beach Elementary School's administration, teachers, and staff, and our wonderfully creative and thoughtful students at Beach Elementary School. Thank you for representing the Town of Chesapeake Beach and Calvert County.
