February, 23, 2023 (Chesapeake Beach, MD) - Looking for some fun things to do while saving the Bay?

Join the Chesapeake Beach Oyster Cultivation Society (CBOCS) and make an impact on the water quality of the Chesapeake Bay - details below.

Water Quality

The UMCES Chesapeake Biological Laboratory in Solomons in conjunction with ACLT has reached out to CBOCS for 1-2 volunteers to help with water quality testing of Fishing Creek on  Saturday April 1.  CBL is testing the water quality of a number of creeks in Calvert County on that day and would like to include Fishing Creek.   This effort will entail attending a 1 hour training session in Solomons at the Lab and then returning to the creek to perform the water collection and assessment.   If you would like to help please email info@chesapeakebeachmd.gov for more information.

Reef balls
