Lifeguard Appreciation Day!

August 1, 2023 (Chesapeake Beach, MD) - Thank you to our Chesapeake Beach Water Park Lifeguards for keeping us safe and cool in 2023! The Chesapeake Beach Water Park observed Lifeguard Appreciation Day today, Tuesday, August 1st, 2023; however, lifeguard appreciation day does not need to be just one day! There is plenty of time left in the Water Park season to thank a Lifeguard and to be sure to listen to the Lifeguards for your own safety when visiting the Park. 

As first responders, the Chesapeake Beach Water Park lifeguards are trained and certified in CPR, oxygen administration, AED use and first aid - to just name a few. Stern enforcers of rules designed to protect swimmers, lifeguards also extend their compassion and care helping families fit life jackets, offering swim lessons, answering questions, and maintaining rigorous sanitation protocol.Preparing to serve as a lifeguard requires additional training and dedication to learn the skills to protect our Park guests.

When attending the Chesapeake Beach Water Park, please say an extra “Thank You!” to the lifeguards that keep our Park safe all season long!
