Light up the Town and Christmas Market
November 26, 2023 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)- Join the Mayor and Town Council for the annual Town of Chesapeake Beach Light up the Town and Christmas Market this evening from 4-6:30 PM at the Chesapeake Beach Town Hall. The expected rain will not deter the illumination of the Town of Chesapeake Beach, our visitors from the North Pole or holiday shopping from local businesses. Grab an umbrella and head to the center of Town for a fun-filled evening of community gathering and cheer.
Skating Rescheduled (stay tuned for a new date and more fun!): While we will still be gathering to celebrate the Lighting of the Town and the start of holiday shopping from local businesses, due to the wet weather, the ice skating activities will be postponed for another evening.
Where to Park: Attending the event by car? Please enter on Gordon Stinnett Ave and park in the Kellam's complex entering Town Hall from the western side of the building.
A evening filled for holiday cheer and community gathering: The Light Up the Town will kick off with live performances by the Beach Elementary School String Orchestra inside the Town Council chambers and an evening filled with the sounds of Christmas carolers, visits with Santa in the Town Hall atrium, and shopping from local businesses in our covered Christmas market. There will be plenty of spaces to stay dry while shopping for sweet treats from local bakeries and holiday gift giving. Browse a range of decorating essentials from greenery, garland and wreaths. Don't leave without stocking up on local artwork, your handmade summer beach bags, wine, fresh winter produce, jellies, and jams from our local nursery. Wear your most festive attire and enjoy taking home a 360 photo booth image with family, friends and neighbors. See you Light up the Town!
