News Coverage of the Twin Beaches

October 1, 2022 (Chesapeake Beach, MD) - Reporters from Channel 9 News covered the Twin Beaches late yesterday in response to the preparation of localized flooding from the outer bands of Hurricane Ian. While the Twin Beaches are not encountering anything near what many other locations have encountered the topic and planning are at the forefront in preparation for the future. 

The Town of Chesapeake Beach continues to plan for Flooding and Coastal Resiliency and requests citizen engagement through the Flood Planning and Coastal Resiliency Steering Committee outreach.
