NOTICE of Flagging Operation on MD RT261

Impacts Due to Tree Removal

February 21, 2024 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)- The Town provides notice that State Highway Administration (SHA) expects to remove a tree on MD RT261 tomorrow, February 22, 2024.

To conduct the work safely, SHA expects a lane closure and a flagging operation to be in place with the potential for a full closure of MD RT261 for short periods of time while the tree is cut. The impacts will occur on the south side of Town at MD RT261 and 13th street.
