The Town of Chesapeake Beach’s highest priority is the safety and well-being of our residents, staff and visitors. Consistent with expert public health guidance related to the spread of COVID-19, the following adjustments have been made to Town Hall operations beginning Thursday, March 12 and until further notice. The guidelines are being implemented on an emergency basis and in concert with Federal and State recommendations for controlling and containing the spread of COV-19 for the purpose of protecting public health and safety.

The Chesapeake Beach Town Hall is closed for walk-ins by the public. All contact with Town Hall should take place through phone at (410) 257-2230, email at info@chesapeakebeachmd.gov or our Town website at www.chesapeakebeachmd.gov.

Utility Payments: Utility payments may be dropped off at Town Hall in the secure lock box at the side entry door. Residents may also pay by phone by calling Town Hall or via our convienant payment methods online available here

Permits: Please call Town Hall to coordinate your permit delivery or email us at info@chesapeakebeachmd.gov. 

Water Park and Bay Front Park employee orientations have been adjusted. Town Staff will reach out to those that are registered for these trainings with notification of next steps offering options to conduct these orientations virtually.

Department of Public Works Work Orders: Please file your work orders with Town Hall. All non-essential resident home entry “work orders” have the potential to be delayed.

Public Meetings:

  • Public Committee and Volunteer Committee meetings are suspended. 
  • Non-essential meetings of Public Commissions are suspended.
  • Town Council meetings will take place to conduct required business only. The Town asks that the public tune into these meetings via live stream. Town Events:

  • All Town events that promote gatherings in a single space, or area, are suspended. This includes cancellation of the March 29th Easter Festival and the April Green Team clean up the Town activities.

Be aware of Scams: Residents should be aware that there are scams circulating via phone and internet related COVID-19. The following Domains have been identified as dangerous and containing malware. Do not click on links or open attachments and be aware of phishing emails.
