A Message from the Town of Chesapeake Beach Public Works Staff

October 11, 2022 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)- UPDATED to include Bay View Hills testing on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. The Town of Chesapeake Beach Public Works staff conducted smoke tests in the Town of Chesapeake Beach public sewer system on Tuesday the 11th and will complete additional testing on Wednesday the 12th in the following areas marked below.

Additional testing to take place in Bayview Hills on Wednesday, October 12, 2022:
During this time, you may see smoke coming from sewer cleanouts and sewer manholes in the street. This is normal and the smoke is not harmful. Please direct any questions to Town Hall at (410)257-2230.
