Ways to Engage in the Comprehensive Plan Update

March 23, 2022 (Chesapeake Beach, MD) - There are many ways citizens can engage in the 2040 Town of Chesapeake Beach Comprehensive Planning process. The Comprehensive Plan has been approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission and is currently before the Town Council for review and adoption.

An official meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be held this evening at 7:00 PM to continue the discussion of zoning ordinance changes necessary to implement the recommendations in the draft Comprehensive Plan, agenda and meeting information are viewable here.

Some ways to engage in the process and provide public comment are: 

The Town Council set a public hearing for March 29th at 6:00 PM to hear public comments on the 2021 Comprehensive Plan. This hearing will be conducted with public comment accessible by phone, web and in person. To join the meeting please click the link https://chesapeakebeachmd-gov.zoom.us/j/8697557180. To join by phone dial (301) 715- 8592 and enter the Meeting ID 869 755 7180 or enter Town Hall through the chamber or main entrance.
