UPDATE: ROUTE 260 Re-opened

January 4, 2022 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)- Both directions of RT260 are now open as well as the cross over at Harrison Blvd. Two way detour traffic on RT260 is canceled and the normal traffic pattern is resuming. Continue to use caution in the area due to ice on the roadway.

• the State Highway Administration for bringing in significant resources to make substantial improvements in a short period of time. 
• the Chesapeake Beach Public Works staff, and the Twin Beach Deputies, for their continued monitoring and assistance with detour routing to maintain residents ability to get in and out of Richfield Station.
• the Richfield Station Homeowners Association leadership, and all of the residents of Richfield Station, for their patience and continued communication with the Town.
