State of the Town

March 17, 2023 (Chesapeake Beach, MD) - During the March 16th Town Council meeting, Mayor Patrick "Irish" Mahoney presented the 2022 State of the Town of Chesapeake Beach.

Key highlights of the 2022 State of the Town include:

  • Reduction of taxes for the sixth year in a row with a total general property tax reduction of $516,765 - as unanimously approved by this Town Council.
  • Debt reduction in FY22 of $508,715 with total debt reduction of $7,074,538 - as unanimously approved by this Town Council.

The Mayor and Town Council continue to work to ensure that Town taxpayer funds are allocated appropriately and that the Town is prepared for future infrastructure improvements.
