The World is CBOCS Oyster

October 26, 2023 (Chesapeake Beach, MD)- Mayor Patrick "Irish" Mahoney and Sue Alexander, Director of the Chesapeake Beach Oyster Cultivation Society (CBOCS), promote the Town of Chesapeake Beach and it's longstanding oyster restoration program at the 2023 annual Chesapeake Oyster Science Symposium in historic Cambridge, MD.

The symposium is sponsored by the Chesapeake Oyster Alliance with support from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation who assembled an all-star lineup of oyster experts, post-docs, faculty, and industry practitioners to unite the fields of oyster restoration, aquaculture, and science. In representation of the Town, Mayor Mahoney and Sue Alexander are participating in multiple panel discussions and the lightning-talks of scientists and early career professionals. 

Thank you to the Town Council and our amazing volunteers of CBOCS for continuing to recognize the ecological and economic gains obtainable through the CBOCS oyster restoration programs.
