The Brighest Beacon on the Bay was renamed the Barbara "Jo" Finch Brighest Beacon on the Bay in 2019 after Ms. "Jo" Finch's passing in tribute to her contribution to starting the Town's celebration of lights, decorations, community and Christmas.
Local businesses contribute towards gifts that are distributed to the community members that decorate their homes in creative and beautiful ways. Awards are given out to individual residents and sometimes entire blocks of a neighborhood who partner together to make their street beautifully lit.
The Town thanks the following businesses for contributing towards the awards and celebration by the Mayor and Town Council during the December Town Council meeting:

- Chesapeake Beach Water Park
