September 10, 2023 (Chesapeake Beach, MD) - Thank you for joining us for the seventh annual Taste the Beaches event in the center of Town at one of our longest-operating restaurants. Taste the Beaches is a FREE festival-style event that is sponsored by the Town of Chesapeake Beach in support of local businesses. The day was filled with delicious food and drinks, live music from Luskey/Ferro & Friends and Kenney Holmes, local vendors, and educational outreach.

A Taste of the Twin Beaches

The Town of Chesapeake Beach sponsored tastings from local restaurants throughout the day. From Baia's Burrata Toast,  Abner's sampler boat, freshly shucked locally harvested oysters, and Chesapeake Get Em' there was lots to try and even more available for purchase. 

Guests enjoyed the interactive and educational Phillips Wharf Environmental Center Fishmobile, performances by O'Grady Quinlin Irish Dancers, Live Crab Picking demonstrations by Bobby Abner, an Abner's Oyster exhibit, Abner's Crab Derby featuring our local face-offs of the Twin Beach Mayors (sorry North Beach), local beer from Green Spring Brewing Co., airbrush tattoos, balloon art, Little Tots Playground and moon bounce, Sand Art, Kid Friendly Bow and Arrows, Fairy Halos and more!

Guests shopped local vendors Ella's Whimsey Clothing Boutique, Chesapeake Beach Candle Company, Oscar and Olive Osprey, Olly's Bracelet Business, Chosen Moments, Be Adored Jewelry, Lilla Rose, and more!

Guests engaged with Town and community partners including the Chesapeake Beach Oyster Cultivation Society, Chesapeake Beach Green Team, Chesapeake Beach Coastal Resiliency Steering Committee, Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum, Twin Beaches Opioid Abuse Awareness Coalition, American Legion, North Beach Volunteer Fire Department, Department of Natural Resource Police Boating Safety, Calvert Library, Arts Council of Calvert County, Bayside Baptist Church, Knights of Columbus Calvert Council, Board of Calvert County Commissioner members, Senator Michael Jackson, Delegate Jeffrie Long and more!
