Kellam's Field

and the "Miller Loveless Park at Kellam's Field"

The Kellam's Field complex is located at 3825 GORDON STINNETT AVE CHESAPEAKE BEACH 20732. The Kellam's Field complex is owned and operated by the Town of Chesapeake Beach and is open during the normal operating hours of the Chesapeake Beach Water Park. During the off season, the field is open as scheduled by the Town. To view the Kellam's field rules for general open use please click here. 

Youth Sports Provider (YSP) Agreement: The Town of Chesapeake Beach is committed to providing youth recreational activities at the center of Town. For non-profit public benefiting youth sports organizations interested in utilizing the field for recreational use, please fill out the Youth Sports Agreement in its entirety for the Town's review. Applications must be submitted to the attention of the Town Administrator. 

Audit of Youth Sports Team the"Beach Buccaneers Youth Club" - In accordance with the Youth Sports Agreement the Town of Chesapeake Beach may conduct an audit of teams utilizing public assets of the Town to ensure that they are being used for public benefit. The Town of Chesapeake Beach initiated a third party audit of the Beach Buccaneers Youth Club per the terms of the Youth Sports Agreement.

On May 18th 2023, the Mayor provided a overview of the Town's continued commitment to children's youth activities, the announcement is viewable here. During the May 18th 2023, town meeting the Town Administrator also briefed the Town Council and the public on the status of the audit and no interruption to children's play time on the field during the process - the presentation slides are viewable here.

Kellam's Field Revitalization: The Town of Chesapeake Beach is currently reviewing the Kellam's complex to mitigate concerns with flooding. The purpose of this work is to ensure short and long term recreational amenities for the community. The Town's Walkable Community Advisory Group developed a plan to add additional walkways in and around the recreational complex. Those plans are underway and continued improvement is taking place with the foundation being recreation.
